Employees need to log in to their online DCP Account at dcp.varetire.org/login to register and establish account authentication.

Highlight the necessity of designating beneficiaries for each defined contribution plan. Employees can log in to their DCP Account and complete the process online.

Contact the DC Plans Coordinator, DaJon Johnson at dajon.johnson@voya.com to schedule a meeting with a DC Plans Education Specialist to assist employees in understanding the VRS Defined Contribution Plans.

Voya offers three approaches to retirement planning in the workplace based on individual needs, including personalized planning services and advisory services.

Employees with multiple VRS-participating jobs can contribute to the Commonwealth of 457 Deferred Compensation Plan from both employers.

To be eligible for health insurance credit:

  • ORP Plan 1: Age 50 and at least 15 years of VRS defined benefit service credit and/or ORP participation at retirement.
    • Pay health insurance premiums for individual coverage under qualifying health plans.
  • ORP Plan 2: Age 60 and at least 15 years of VRS defined benefit service credit and/or ORP participation at retirement.
    • All other requirements are the same as ORP Plan 1.

To qualify for Basic Group Life Insurance Program

  • ORP Plan 1: Age 55 with a combination of at least five years of VRS defined benefit service credit and/or ORP participation, or age 50 with a combination of at least 10 years of VRS defined benefit service credit and/or ORP participation.
  • ORP Plan 2: Age 60 with a combination of at least five years of VRS defined benefit service credit and/or ORP participation, or when age and combined VRS defined benefit service credit and/or ORP participation equal 90.
  • Note: Service credit from an institution of higher education that does not participate in the VRS Group Life Insurance Program does not count toward qualifying for continued basic group life insurance coverage.
